To say music has been a big part of my life is an understatement. Music has been with me throughout my life, the highs, the lows, the in betweens and the memories. Music is at my core and I incorporate music in everything I do! While serving a combat tour in Kirkuk Iraq with the United States Air Force in 2005, I found myself relying on song once again as I was asked to lead the worship service on Sundays.
My time in the Air Force left a HUGE imprint on me. I learned a lot about myself and about the world around me and with my new-found perspective on humanity, after my enlistment was up, I knew it was time, after 5 years of service, to return to music. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance at Eastern Nazarene College followed by a Master of Arts in Expressive Therapies at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. “Expressive Therapies”? Of course, because music soothes the soul.
Music is a universal language around the globe. It is amazing that music exists in all cultures, in all corners of the world. It is amazing to watch a brand new baby begin to dance and bee-bop when they hear music that makes them happy. How do babies know to automatically dance to music!? Music is a gift.
My gift to you, the listener, is a song to remind you of your first love, that moment your life changed, when you chose the path on the left instead of the one on the right and to remind you of loves lost and loves found.
I will play any event! Weddings, funerals, private parties, restaurants, charity events, backing vocals, sporting events and more! I will learn any desired music so long as I am given enough notice to do so. I am, as most musicians are, a perfectionist and I am always working to sharpen my craft.
